Novel plot synopsis, please give an opinion!
?
A worldwide depression has swept the world. Power is now determined by material wealth and beauty. As humanity struggles to become perfect, chain suicide’s begin, with around 10-25% of the world commiting suicide.
The solution was right under our noses. Religion and Emotion must be removed from all humans, then we will have the perfect man, one which needs no self indulgence. As of 1/12/2022, all citizens of the world must undergo a neurosurgery that is completely mechanized and painless. After, no emotions or religious beliefs will come into the person.
A mad rush of tourism comes to Jerusalem. Activists call this the "Human Armageddon" and are praying and resisting all arrests. To quell this threat, we will drop tear gas on Jerusalem and force all of the activists into the surgery earlier.
Miguel is such an activist, a radical christian. The activists are placed into poor machines, and Miguel’s machine fails to replace his genetic material. He awakens to the new humanity, a perfect society. He spends a small amount of time in hiding until he finds out that the Temple of the Holy Sepulcher (In christianity, it’s where jesus rose) is going to be buldozed to create appartments. Miguel intervenes and murders the construction crew, save for one person. That person, Joseph, experiences a large amount of pain from a wound Miguel made with a pocket knife. His emotions are jolted and they return, and he prays for forgiveness until his death. Miguel realizes with a surge of pain in the city, he could convert them back to humans. He now must traverse the city and tap into the forsaken nanotechnologies to cause the great pain that could save everyone.
There’s more, but it has too much spoilers

It’s got a lot of problems, which is why it’s smart to get feedback from qualified people. I’ll tackle a small portion:
A worldwide depression has swept the world. [Isn't there a way to say this without using the word 'world' twice?] Power is now determined by material wealth and beauty. [Passive sentence. Make it active.] As humanity struggles to become perfect [Where was it established that perfection helps? Does not perfection include more than wealth (splurt!) and beauty?], chain suicide’s begin [*Never pluraize with apostrophe-s. This mistake, all by itself, assures rejection because it marks you as unprofessional.], with around 10-25% of the world commiting [This misspelling shows you did not run spell-check--another unprofessional indicator.] suicide.
The solution was [Synopses are in present tense. Was is past.] right under our noses. [Cliche, to be avoided.] Religion and Emotion [Capitalized why?] must be removed from all humans [Passive sentence], [Comma splice--this should be a new sentence.-->]then we will have the perfect man, one which needs no self indulgence. As of 1/12/2022, all citizens of the world must undergo a neurosurgery that is completely mechanized and painless. [It's unclear what authority demands this and how it's enforced. These would be crucial plot elements which must be accounted for.] After, no emotions or religious beliefs will come into the person.[Terribly awkward phrasing.][Overall, the first two paragraphs only set the stage. It's much better to introduce your main character within his world than to introduce the world. You have no action, just a situation, in the portion I went over.]
Ouch, ouch, I know. I’m sorry, but knowing it’s not so good and why lets you improve it. I’ll let someone else pick up from here.
